Happy weekend from all of us at the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency!
How is your weekend going?
This week was very eventful for us. We signed a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreement with seven (7) real estate development firms, the State’s Waste Management & Environmental Sustainability submitted its final report and lastly, we’ve onboarded our digital workflow system we initiated last year.
We were even on the news!!
But, let’s get to the details.
ANAMBRA STATE SIGNS PPP AGREEMENT WITH SEVEN REAL ESTATE FIRMS
Anambra State through the Ministry of Lands and the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) has signed a Public-Private Partnership agreement with seven (7) real estate development firms. The State has also handed over the allocated sites to the firms for the immediate commencement of the project.
This landmark event will reinvent the approach to real estate in the Awka Capital Territory as top firms begin the redevelopment of the area. This project fulfills Mr. Governor’s promise of transforming Anambra into a livable, prosperous, smart megacity for the future of Ndi Anambra.
The selected development firms are CNN Urban Developers Limited, Rainbow Heritage Projects Service Limited, Periwinkle Residences Limited, MIO Construction Company Nigeria Limited, Southern Matrix Project Limited, Treasure Garden Investment Limited and Romax Properties Limited.

ANAMBRA STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL APPROVES WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
The Anambra State Executive Council has approved the policy document presented by the ANSEC Committee on Waste Management and Environment Sustainability. The document presented by the Committee Chair and MD ANSIPPA, Mark Okoye contained an in-depth study of Anambra’s waste management challenges, best practices in Waste Management in Nigeria and across Africa, a review of Anambra-focused policy documents prepared by UN-Habitat and the World Bank aimed at tackling environmental challenges and finally; offered a tailored comprehensive solution to the menace.
The implementation of this document will provide numerous opportunities for private sector participation in Recycling, Waste-to-Energy, and Waste-to-Wealth initiatives. It will also create job opportunities for Ndi Anambra while providing a clean, green and sustainable environment.
Following the successful completion of the mandate given to the Committee by Mr. Governor, the Committee was replaced with an execution team on Waste Management & Environment. The team will be led by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim. They will expand on the workplan suggested in the policy document and implement the solutions as proposed.
ANSIPPA goes Digital!!
ANSIPPA has successfully completed the onboarding of a new document management and workflow automation system services. Through the adoption of this new system, the Agency, going forward, will conduct all internal communication digitally. This is in line with our Agency’s sustainability and zero-waste plan adopted months ago. We like to say, “ANSIPPA has gone paperless”.

However, can you say starting a business and earning between N100,000-N2000,000 in profit is a negative situation? This was the question Entrepreneur Vivian Ekene left us with after her interview with the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency.
