"Everything Technology, Technology Everywhere"
...#SoludoSolution driving ANSIPPA's digital transformation
It’s Christmas!!!
Let the countdown begin!
As you can tell, we are very excited.
Last month was amazing for us here at Anambra State Investment Promotion & Protection Agency (ANSIPPA). There were new initiatives most of which we highlighted in our previous newsletters. You should check it out if you haven’t.
This week our highlights are centered on how the Agency is exploring tech-driven initiatives to improve its operational efficiency and boost productivity. From finalizing plans on a new document management system to meeting with the Country Director of Facebook and putting finishing touches to our Virtual Office (super excited), there is so much we are excited to brag about.
Here are the details:
ANSIPPA Goes Paperless
This week, ANSIPPA’s Executive Management met with the Chief Marketing Officer of Folderit, Kent Raju to finalize the subscription to an enterprise document management system. Folderit is a German-Estonia based company that provides document management and workflow automation system services to a growing international clientele. Its digital dashboard is considered one of the most user-friendly in the world. This move will digitize ANSIPPA’s operations and drive productivity across key departments within the Agency.
This initiative, championed by the Executive Director, Johnson Osisioma, is novel in the State and will transform how the Agency interacts with its external stakeholders. Currently, we are testing the application extensively with a target to fully onboard within the first quarter in the new year.
This innovation aligns with Mr. Governor’s mantra of, “Everything Technology and Technology Everywhere” to encourage the deployment of digital technology by MDAs to manage their operations. The subscription to Folderit is another milestone in the Agency’s effort to achieve total digitalization of its operations. Already, ANSIPPA has deployed biometric access control with time stamps to manage its staff attendance.
ANSIPPA Opens Virtual Office in the Metaverse
For the first time in Nigeria and (maybe) Africa, a state-owned Agency will launch a virtual office in the Metaverse to amplify its operations. This week, ANSIPPA met with Director, Aria Creative Nigeria, Tayo Kalejaiye to conclude its plans to set up an office in the Metaverse. With over 17 million Nigerians active in the blockchain space, ANSIPPA hopes to explore potential investment opportunities, partnerships and other areas of engagement within the Web3 ecosystem.
As part of the service offerings through this platform, we intend to host virtual meet-ups, launch utility-based Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) that provides access to ANSIPPA’s year-round events and connect with interested parties.
Anambra Discusses Digital Tribe Program with Facebook
As reported earlier by Anambra Insights, the State through the Anambra State ICT Agency and the Office of the Special Adviser to Governor on Business Incubation and Innovation with ANSIPPA had developed a framework to guide the establishment of a Digital Tribe in the State. To implement this, the team held a meeting with the Anambra-born tech expert and Nigeria Country Director for Facebook, Emeka Okafor to brainstorm on actionable steps to drive this initiative.
To kickstart this program, the State made provisions in the 2023 budget to build a business incubation and innovation hub and the set-up of a N5 Billion state-backed venture capital fund. The Digital Tribe project aims to equip Ndi Anambra youths with digital skills, mentorship and early-stage funding opportunities.
Emeka Okafor provided insights on how to further improve the program’s impact and better position the State for partnership opportunities with big tech organizations.
