“Today and always, let us remember that life is a precious gift —a chance to breathe, feel, love, experience, and connect. Let’s honor this gift by living with purpose, kindness, and gratitude, making every moment count. Let us number our days”
—Late Herbert Wigwe
We join our fellow Nigerians in extending our deepest condolences to the families, Access Group, and NGX on the profound loss of two esteemed figures within the Nigerian private sector.
Once again, we are reminded of how precious every moment is. As a State-owned Agency, we hold ourselves to a higher standard, ensuring we do our utmost best to fulfill our mandate in an accountable and transparent manner.
To that end, we believe it prudent to provide a comprehensive summary of our activities for 2023 before unveiling our strategic plans for this year. In this Newsletter, we invite you to save this edition and utilize it to hold us accountable by the end of the year.
Here, you will find our detailed report, a video outlining our plans for the year, and a brief overview of our activities over the last six weeks. While we may not have sent a newsletter during this period, please rest assured that we have been diligently working behind the scenes.

The Agency recently received the comprehensive feasibility report on the proposed international 5-star hotel to be sited in the State's capital city, Awka. The State is currently engaged in advanced discussions on the financing of the hotel development. As part of our ongoing consultations to execute this project, we are in talks with Marriot, Radisson, etc. as potential private-sector partners for the management of this facility.

Last week, the Agency met with a high-level delegation from the African Development Bank Group to discuss a potential funding agreement for the Special Agro-Processing Zone within the Anambra Mixed-Use Industrial City.
AfDB is currently spearheading a transformative project aimed at revolutionizing agriculture. This initiative focuses on providing essential infrastructure, including designated Agro-Processing Zones, to bolster agricultural development.
The initial meeting, held in Abuja, served as a platform for expressing the State's keen interest in becoming a beneficiary of the second tranche of this program. The goal is to garner support for the development of the agro-processing zone within the mixed-use industrial city.

The Governor should think deep and reconsider his strategy of having too many young people in his cabinet and or in his executive team. Yes, energy, excitement and social media hype are good but experience, go to market ideas and track records are far more important for a State that is in a hurry to create enabling environment to bring her people and investments back home.
Thanks.
Dear ANSIPPA,
Kindly note that the honey moon is over, the people of Anambra are now all eyes and ears for the commissioning of strategic projects like railroad, at least two five star hotels, security infrastructures, water corporations in all local government areas, excellent healthcare system to mitigate the increased death rate in Anambra, excellent public school system that can compete with the "private schools", etc.
Talking and holding meetings with World Bank, IMF, AFDB and global road shows for the past two years and not a single strategic project has been commissioned portends danger for APGA in the State. After two years in office, Anambra should have realized at least 50% of that vision of "Dubai of Nigeria".
What is actually going on?
Kindly note that there are smarter and smaller investment houses and institutions with extremely deep pocket out there that can deploy resources faster and smarter than all the World Bank, IMF and AFDB of this world.
The next gubernatorial election in Anambra may not be that simple for APGA, too much expectations were put on this administration because of the profile of the governor but that is waning and and fast too. I am a fan of this administration but feelings out here is now depressing.
Just think to let you know!
Thanks.
