Today, the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo hosted an event to celebrate his one year in office. He made a presentation and informed Ndi Anambra just how far his administration has come in transforming the State to a livable, prosperous and smart megacity.

ANSIPPA Hosts Interactive Session with the Organized Private Sector
This week, the Agency hosted the State executives of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and the Chambers of Commerce to an interactive session. The meeting which was held at ANSIPPA discussed the various ways to strengthen the public-private sector relationship especially in improving the business clime of the State.
In his welcome remarks, MD ANSIPPA, Mark Okoye emphasized the need for a closer working relationship between the Agency and the Organized Private Sector. He discussed the government policies and projects the administration is currently working on, inviting the business communities to key into the transformation agenda of the Soludo administration.
He further disclosed the investment and funding opportunities available to the private sector and encouraged the guests to explore such opportunities.
Reacting, the leaders of the business communities expressed their appreciation for the timely meeting and requested for more to be done in bridging the gap between government and the private sector.
Anambra State invests in more infrastructure projects
Anambra State Government (ANSG) through the Anambra Urban Regeneration Council (ANURC), the Awka City Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) and ANSIPPA has finalized the plan to develop the Awka Country Club and Leisure Park.
As part of its responsibilities to revitalize the urban areas in the State, ANURC in partnership with ACTDA will complete the design of this project, while ANSIPPA will develop the financing plan for its implementation. The complete plan is expected to be submitted to the State’s Executive Council in the coming weeks.

ANSIPPA attends Nnamdi Azikiwe University Entrepreneur Summit
This week, the Agency honoured the invitation to attend a summit for upcoming entrepreneurs in the State. The event was organized by the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Student Union Government Centre for Entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the event, MD ANSIPPA explained the need for students to approach entrepreneurship with a cautious but determined mindset. According to him, starting and succeeding in a business venture requires discipline, focus and consistency that is heads above what is usually obtainable among young people. He also encouraged the students to identify, learn, unlearn and relearn various skills that will place them in advantageous positions as the next generation of wealth creators.
Mark Okoye further advised the audience to take advantage of government opportunities targeted at assisting entrepreneurs such as the newly launched Solution Innovation District, which will teach 20,000 youths digital skills.

Anambra State receives feasibility study for SkyTrain project
Last week, Anambra Insights reported the completion and submission of the feasibility study conducted by the China Railway Beijing Engineering (CRBE) Ltd to ANSIPPA. As a follow-up, this week, the State through the Ministry of Transportation and ANSIPPA officially received the report.
At the meeting, CRBE gave a detailed explanation of the different implementation phases of the project. The first phase will connect five (5) stops within Onitsha city. The second phase will extend the sky rails to connect the airport and move down to the capital city, Awka. This project hopes to finally connect the four urban areas: Onitsha, Awka, Nnewi, and Ekwulobia with SkyTrains.
Following this meeting, the Agency has begun exploring financial options to implement this project in the shortest time possible and at the most affordable cost. A complete plan is expected to be submitted to the executive council in the coming weeks.
